Thank you, Edward, this was wonderful! Listening to Tim Maia now and just downloaded a few books to my Kindle - I recently read the original Foundation trilogy and the Stapleton books in particular sound right up my alley.
Thank you for sharing this content! I am eagerly looking forward to your series on venture capital. The weekly updates are very valuable for subscribers.
Came here via your deep discussion on the Dig and This Machine kills (brilliant stuff) and immediately amazed by you recommending Stapledon, Wells and Graeber. Not yet read Pirates but Dawn of Everything is a mind reset. Being 75 Stapledon has been with me a long time and never goes away. Koyaanisqatsi is also a favourite and the indigenous prophecy at the end has proved horribly true. You really choose life altering texts. Thank you and am now going to try Tim Maia as also a Brazilian music fan.
I find it rather telling that no one is willing to put their name on that rant about the Stable Diffusion lawsuit.
